Emirates Rewards or: How I learned to Stop Worrying and love Business Class Upgrades – Part 2

During Part 1 of my epic story, I was determined to get a business class upgrade with Emirates rewards. I knew it might not be easy, but after signing up for a Emirates account, buying the additional points I needed from The Mileage Club and having a little luck, I was able to accomplish my dream of moving up to business class on one of the nicest airlines in air travel. With the hard part over with, it was time to enjoy the splendor of my new seating, and boy did I enjoy it!

I Began My Journey Into The Wonderful Unknown

I was giddy with excitement while waiting in the seating area. As I watched the army of airline attendants strut into the aircraft, I couldn’t wait to hear my group of elite travelers be called up to the front. What got me even more excited was the fact that we would be flying on the Airbus A380, a massive plane with by far the largest business class compartment in the world. When I first entered the aircraft, I was asked to go upstairs. While separating myself from the majority of the passengers, I knew I was in for a real treat.

The Sight Of Pure Luxury

I was not disappointed. When I got up to the upper deck I was amazed to find that the upstairs area was as big as the lower deck economy class area, only with a seating area four times larger for each individual passenger! As I walked to my seat I watched as airline attendants gave individual attention to each business class passenger, explaining how various buttons worked and telling them that anything they wanted would be delivered at a moment’s notice. When I got to my seat I was amazed by how big and comfy the chair was. When I discovered that the chair could lay back into a flat bed at the touch of a button, I was sold.

That Was Just The Tip Of The Iceberg

As the plane took off, I continued to see the amazing benefits that a business class upgrade would bring. Soon we received the business class food menu. There was a three course meal waiting for us, and various drinks and snacks were always available.Everything was available at the touch of a button. Those who wanted to work could use the free Wi-Fi connection. The rest of us sat back, watched our favorite movie on our individual widescreen TVs and ordered ourselves some drinks.

The Rest Of The Flight Was A Dream

As my eyelids became heavy, I laid back on my flatbed seat, the airline attendant brought me an extra mattress and I drifted off to dreamland. Eight hours later I awoke rested and refreshed. Breakfast was a huge treat and with a full belly I headed into the lounge area where a wonderful bartender prepared drinks as the passengers socialized. I was having so much fun that before I knew it, it was time to land. Who knew that an eleven hour flight could pass so quickly!

Business Class Is The Class For Me

I absolutely loved the entire experience. I was given every amenity I could ask for, I experienced amazing customer service and I left the flight feeling relaxed and without jetlag. I certainly recommend business class for people who frequently travel abroad.
